Hello, my volleyball friends in Korea!
As the President of Asian Volleyball Confederation, I am very happy to give my
sincere congratulations to the Korean volleyball for its centennial anniversary.
For the last 100 years Korean volleyball has shown amazing growth both in
national and international level.
Of course there were hard days in the beginning of Korean volleyball history.
But I know very well that your seniors exerted every effort to settle and spread
our sport in your country.
After the Korean war, Korean volleyball started to grow in its quantity and
quality. National teams of Korea distinguished themselves in the various
international competitions performing excellence in technique.
And through 1986 Asian Games and 1988 Olympic Games, Korea proved itself
at last that they are one of the leading countries in the World and they are one
good example for volleyball development.
Now there are many challenges Korea must win over. It is not just to Korea but
also to every other countries in the World. As our sport is developing worldwide,
competition is getting intensive year by year. I hope Korea achieve good success
again.
My congratulations again and I wish Korea open a new bright era for the next
centennial.
